bride and groom at sunset at silver oaks chateau in Missouri

Chloe and Geoffrey got married at the most lovely Silver Oaks Chateau wedding in Missouri. After being postponed from 2020 (shoutout to all the Covid brides who rescheduled their days!), it was super fun to finally be able to celebrate with them! In this post, I’m going to share with you everything I loved about this wedding and hopefully give you some ideas for your own St Louis area wedding.

This sweet family is not new to me – I photographed Chloe’s twin sister’s wedding back in 2018. You can take a look at Shawn and Kelsey’s Silver Oaks Chateau Wedding here. I loved being able to work with this family again and catch up with a former Jessica Lauren Bride. It’s always such an honor to be able to document multiple weddings for families or friend groups.

Chloe and Geoffrey’s wedding day was absolutely lovely.

We started the day with the most gorgeous place to get ready. Her details were all so thoughtful and lovely. Chloe’s mom and Kelsey helped her get into her dress and the moment was just so sweet. The couple wrote letters to each other before their ceremony and the emotion was tangible. Chloe had a first look with her dad that was so sweet! Their bond is really special and I love watching those daddy-daughter moments play out.

Their ceremony was stunning, located right outside of the Chateau. If you’re planning a wedding there, you’ve got to see the gorgeous backdrop. I especially love being able to get a top-down view of the ceremony. It’s so special to be able to see all the guests and loved ones from above.

The evening reception was a blast! From the sunset photos I’m obsessed with to the s’mores truck, there was so much personality and fun little touches. I loved the marquee letters spelling out their new last name – it gave the dance floor a perfect touch. We finished the night off with a sparkler exit and sent the couple off with so much joy!
