I am SO excited for today’s blog post because I have the sweet joy of featuring one of my very favorite businesses here on the blog! Last year I connected with Kristin and Connie from Fleur De Lis Bridal Boutique, located in the heart of Clayton, Missouri – and I couldn’t be more impressed or inspired by their kindness and huge passion for what they do. Any time I walk into their boutique I truly feel like I’ve stepped into a different world – it is so peaceful and absolutely stunning. Filled with the most gorgeous and high quality gowns, I couldn’t think of a more lovely place as a bride to look for your wedding dress.
I wholeheartedly believe that every single step of your engagement and wedding planning process should be an experience – and I am all about pulling together with other businesses in St. Louis that have the desire to provide their brides and grooms with just that! That being said, I wanted to have Kristin and Connie pop in today and share their expert tips for finding your DREAM wedding dress! Don’t you know I’ll be tucking away all this info for when I’m a bride someday as well!! ;) Enjoy, sweet friends!! (And try not to swoon too much over their stunning boutique!)
“Limit the amount of guests joining you at your appointments. We highly recommend 1-3 guests, those whose thoughts are valued most. Too many opinions seem to confuse the bride.”
“Visit 2-3 bridal boutiques as you should confirm what you love however, confusion may set in if too many gowns are tried on.”
“Schedule only 1-2 wedding appointments per day. Shopping for your bridal gown is such a special time, you want to be fresh and relaxed.”
“An open mind, having this allows the bride to try on a variety of styles and fabrics. Gowns often look much different on than hanging and what you think you may not like; many times the bride ends up loving.”
“Style your hair and makeup the day of appointments so you feel your absolute prettiest when trying on the gowns.”
“Knowing your gown budget or a range in which you would like to stay within is helpful. Although, you may not know before your appoint and decide your gown budget after the first day of trying on gowns.”
There you have it, friends!! I hope these tips are helpful as you search for the perfect dress for your big day! St. Louis brides – I would highly encourage you to schedule an appointment with Kristin and Connie – you absolutely won’t regret it! Happy Friday!
Much love,
Jessica Lauren
