I'm a wedding photographer living outskirts of St. Louis with my sweet husband! When I'm not hanging with my amazing couples, you can catch me whipping up some delicious food or perusing the local thrift store for some finds.

We began the day with a early morning drive out to Clayton, Washington. Tucked in between tall trees, rolling hills, and mountains off in the distance was Mont Lamm Belgians, Luke and Ashley’s wedding venue. The weather was perfectly overcast with a breeze – none of us could have asked for anything better.
Details began to piece together and the reality of what was taking place started to settle in. Luke and Ashley are getting married. Today. In a few hours. There were tears of joy and smiles all around. I’ve never been around a group of people who were so full of joy and excitement about the union that was about to take place.
There is something incredibly sacred and special about Luke and Ashley’s relationship. They love each other deeply and bless others by simply being together. There’s no way to deny the fact that Luke and Ashley are truly better together. They make the greatest team – full of passion for Jesus, love for others, and genuine, tender love for one another.
There were so many parts of this wedding that were incredibly special and beautiful, but one of my favorites were Luke and Ashley’s rings. Rings hold special significance in that they symbolize a forever long commitment to your spouse – a beautiful outward symbol of an even more beautiful inward promise. But Ashley’s wedding band held an even more sacred and special significance than usual. Since the age of fourteen, Luke has worn a purity ring as a commitment to save himself for his future wife. And on May 25, 2014, Luke slipped Ashley’s wedding band on her finger – melted and handcrafted from his very own purity ring – to have and to hold forever. Likewise, Ashley slid Luke’s ring – made and crafted from wood in Israel – on his finger as a promise to respect and encourage him for life. If that doesn’t give you a glimpse of how special their relationship is, I don’t know what will. Luke and Ashley place Jesus as first in their lives and it spills forth in the sweetness of their commitment to each other.
Both Luke and Ashley were a bundle of nerves and excitement during their first look. Luke’s expression when he turned to see his bride was absolutely priceless. His face says it all – the way he loves and cherishes his bride is so very evident.
Ashley was seriously such a stunning bride. She was radiant throughout every moment of her day.
Luke was looking pretty good himself. ;)
Luke and Ashley’s ceremony was absolutely beautiful. As the guests worshipped in song, Luke and Ashley washed each other’s feet and promised to love and serve each other amidst it all.
Congrats, you two! It was truly a blessing to be apart of your day!
A huuuge thank you to my various second shooters – Kristin, Emily, and Anna – for putting up with my craziness and for capturing so many of these special moments. So grateful for you all!
