Read God’s Word. When you are surrounded with friends and business owners in your industry, it’s easy to compare and begin to believe subtle lies. Your work may not be as good as the best fill in the blank you know… but they’ve also been doing this for years. Don’t let people tell you that you can’t do something just because you are young. That’s just not true. Fill your head with the truth of what God says about you, not others.

Keep learning. You will never “arrive.” You can always push harder, shoot better, and know more. You want to be a leader in your niche and industry? Grow yourself.

Stay inspired. Don’t allow yourself to become stagnant. If you don’t push yourself, you won’t ever get any better. Try something bold + new. You might fail – but at least you are doing something. Even behind the scenes makes a difference. Next month should find you different than you are today.

Read a book. It will expand your knowledge and help you think and focus. Others have been there and done that, so why not learn from someone willing to share? I think every artist and entrepreneur should ready this book.

Make a to do list & love your workspace. It’s hard to work when you are surrounded by the little distractions of life. Create a great, calm environment for work and then sit down and knock things out. Procrastination never got anyone anywhere.

Write down your visions & dreams. Put them in a place where you will see them everyday and remind yourself of your purpose. Remember the why – the reason and passion behind what you do. In times of stress and frustration, that glimmer of hope will shine through. This is what it’s about. Don’t forget your why.

Wow, good stuff, girl! something I’ve learned personally is I have to be aggressive about marketing myself..it’s so awkward at times but you have to be willing to put yourself out there! :) thanks for these reminders!!
