Most of my dear friends are spread out across the country – so it’s definitely not out of the ordinary for me to be booking random trips to visit every once and awhile. ;) But it IS rare for friends to make it out to St. Louis – so when Ashlynne texted me asking if they could stay for a weekend in July, I was over-the-moon stoked! It also happened to be the first weekend I had off since April – so what better way to spend it than with amazing friends eating our way through St. Louis? (Because let’s be real – that’s exactly what we did!)

These two have made an appearance here on the blog on numerous occasions! We’ve explored Charleston together and Robert flew me out to photograph the proposal and engagement photos almost two years ago! Needless to say, they are one of my favorite couples not just because they’re adorable, but because their friendship is an absolute treasure. The last night they were in town – post stuffing ourselves with amazing homemade pasta from the most darling restaurant in Hermann – we ventured out and found a random field to take photos in! Sometimes my most favorite sessions are the spontaneous & least planned.
