Rainy days aren’t all that bad when you have amazing people like these two in front of your camera! Last weekend I was passing through Springfield on my way to Fayetteville, Arkansas for Blake and Anna’s lovely wedding – and it just so happened to be a little over a year since Tyler and Jena got married. So don’t you know we had to plan a darling bohemian anniversary session for these two!! You may remember these guys from their stunning Springfield wedding last April (if you haven’t seen it – it’s definitely worth checking out;)). Let me tell you, these guys are as in love as ever and it was such a joy to get them in front of my camera again!
There’s something about anniversary sessions that are just my absolute favorite. Maybe it’s because one year in, you’ve lived some life together – the good and the hard stuff. (Well – and, I love any excuse I get to see my sweet couples again, so that’s always a perk!) But truthfully, I wholeheartedly believe that marriage cultivates a kind of love that is immovable. It’s a strong and sure sort of love – not that it wasn’t there before, but that with each passing day it’s grows deeper and more steadfast. Jena and I got coffee the day before their session and I asked her how married life was. Her response? “Honestly, it’s the best. Tyler is my favorite person in the whole world and I’m most me when I’m with him.”
Oh my heart. So enjoy these two in their element. Their happy place. Hanging out on the side of the highway in in the middle of the rainiest spring Missouri’s seen in awhile. Together. Cause that’s the best place to be.
Jena & Tyler, marriage looks good on y’all and I can’t wait to see where this adventure continues to take you two.
Much love,
Jessica Lauren
