Oh goodness – I could not be more pumped to share these images on the blog today!! I had the incredible honor of working with Michelle from Absolutely IN! here in St. Louis to collaborate for this modern, southwestern styled shoot – and it truly could not have been more amazing! Michelle literally can take one small idea and bring it to life in the most beautiful way. Our desire was to deviate from the norm and create something fresh and new that St. Louis doesn’t see too often – and I think we (actually she… I just showed up!) were crazy successful! ;) When I walked into Willow, a brand new venue space here in St. Louis, and saw everything pulled together – I was in awe!! Don’t you know I’ve been dying to share these ever since we made this happen!! I adore all things bright + colorful (but only when paired with lots and lots of WHITE!) so this was literally a dream for me to photograph!
We started things off with some sweet shots of the incredible food from Willow! Can one of my brides please plan their wedding here?! To die for!
Not only is Heidi from De La Creme Studios the most kind and thoughtful person ever, she is also ridiculously talented. This cake!! Have you ever seen anything like it? Those intricate details are absolutely insane!
Sweet Lauren from Livia Paul Paper and Design created all of our lovely stationery (and sent these sweet little plants straight from California! You won’t see these growing anywhere in Missouri, but boy were they fun to photograph!)
And our models… gosh, these guys were amazing. I don’t say that lightly! We had a hiccup with our previously scheduled couple, and just a few days before the shoot had to try to find people that fit the look + were the same size as our models before – talk about stressful. ;) Michelle and I did a little bit of freaking out (but also trusting that somehow everything would pull through!) and it did, more perfectly than we ever could have anticipated. Blake and Anna are one of the most genuinely joyful couples I have ever had the honor of meeting. They laughed their way through the whole entire shoot and it was the best! I always tell my couples that laughing photos are my favorite, so my heart was in heaven. Ever better, these guys got engaged about a month ago, and are for real tying the knot NEXT April and I have the joy of being their wedding photographer! WHAT! The coolest. You’ll get to see so much more of their darling selves around here in the future! I love how God works in connecting me with my sweet couples!!

We headed downtown while the rest of the crew started tearing down to grab a few more portraits… so worth it!! The doors on the St. Louis Public Library are my favorite!
