Right now I’m sitting in a hospital waiting room while my mom is asleep on the couch next to me. It’s been a whirlwind past couple of weeks. If I could say anything, it’s that they’ve gone by way too quickly. What an awesome summer it’s been. Days have been packed, from morning to night. Between Haiti, a trip to the lake, fireworks and movies with my best friends, band practices, last week’s mission trip, two weddings, and Dad’s surgery today, summer is just flying by. I have to remind myself to breathe. I don’t want to be so busy that I neglect to allow God to use me.

Dad had surgery this morning the remove the mass in his chest. A sternonomy is the technical term. :) Everything went incredibly well, and now we are on the road to recovery! It’s really hard to see him in so much pain, but I know that God is good and will give him the strength that he needs. It will be an interesting next four weeks, that’s for sure.

So that’s what’s been going down these past couple of weeks. Just trying to soak up as much summer as possible! I’m hoping to keep up with this blog a little more often. I don’t want to forget a single moment from this summer. Happy Monday!
