today we drove downtown to the market. i’d never been to this particular one before, but we would definitely return every weekend if it weren’t so far away.
fresh fruits and vegetables on every corner, bouquets of flowers wrapped in newspaper, and lots of people. the sky was gray, rain drizzling, but it was absolutely gorgeous.
we visited a favorite for lunch; i had spicy creole gumbo and a riverside sandwich. soo good. anything spicy is totally up my alley.
after all that walking, the kiddos convinced my dad to take them bowling; they weren’t too enthralled with shopping around!
it was a wonderful day and some great memories were made.
now i’m off to make a salad and eat some homemade popcorn- grandpa’s specialty!
