A few weekends ago I had the wonderful opportunity to venture into Illinois for the Deeper Retreat! This retreat was hosted by a sweet friend I made through the Delight community, Allison! She has the most genuine and kind heart and I was incredibly blessed to spend the weekend with her and a handful of other wonderful ladies. One of those girlies was Hannah!

Hannah and I connected this past summer through blogging and emailing back and forth! She is truly a GEM and a joy to be around! Seriously, this girl is full of life and so genuinely considerate of other people. I’m not sure how you could be around her for five minutes and not know that there is something radically different about her. Her heart for Jesus is astounding and I was immeasurably blessed to be able to meet her & talk about Jesus and photography.

Not only did I get to connect with Hannah over the weekend, but Amelia made the trek up from Rolla and the three of us had ourselves a chilly winter shoot! And let me tell you, it was worth it, wet feet and all. ;) On the other hand, I will be forever grateful for sweat this summer during sessions… honest. :)

The retreat center we stayed at was surrounded by all these adorable, colorful buildings… such perfect backgrounds in the midst of snowy winter! Sometimes it’s hard to be creative when everywhere seems to look the same, so this was definitely a fun change of pace. These two girls not only are radiant on the outside, but their hearts even more beautiful on the inside. I am so blessed to have such wonderful people to call friends all around the country!
