I won’t even lie about it, y’all, my favorite part of being a wedding photographer getting to know the incredible people I have the honor of calling my couples. Kale and Devin are some of those people, and goodness am I grateful for them!! We met a little over a month ago at a Denny’s in the middle of Missouri… and let me tell you, two hours later I felt like Devin and I were long lost friends and Kale had me rolling the whole time I was there! Basically, I knew we were going to be a perfect fit. For their engagement session, we met up at Cedar Lake Cellars on most perfect April day (70 degrees and no humidity is a dream!!) and then finished up at my family’s lavender farm just down the road. Stunning locations, an incredible couple, and a beautiful day – I don’t think it gets much better than that.
Kale and Devin actually met for the first time at a wedding almost four years ago where they were both in the bridal party…and let’s just say they have been inseparable ever since. Isn’t the the best? It was such a joy to trampse around with these sweethearts and document the incredible love they share. Did you have to pay a fee to photograph the engagement session at Cedar Lakes? I am just curious if it costs more because of the location?
Hey there! I believe there is typically a fee, but my couple is getting married there later this year and having their engagement session on the grounds was included in their wedding package! :)
